The Emperor's New Groove - DVD This movie dates back to 1994, when it was known as KINGDOM IN THE SUN and featured a dramatic story. In 1998, the story was completely revamped with only two of the main comedic characters remaining from the original treatment. Writer David Reynold said he was thinking about Patrick Warburton (Puddy from "Seinfeld") when he was writing the character Kronk. To capture the tone of the film's South American-inspired setting, the film's creative team traveled to Peru in 1996 to observe the artistic and cultural treasures of the ancient Incas.
